AFCA Division III Rankings • D3football.com Rankings

BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins football team is ranked ninth in this week's American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III Poll and the Blue Jays also check in at number 11 in this week's D3football.com Poll. Johns Hopkins has been ranked in the top 15 in both polls throughout the 2015 season.

The Johns Hopkins Athletic Communications office uses the AFCA Poll to reflect JHU's official national ranking. The Blue Jays (5-0, 4-0 Centennial Conference) are ranked in the top 20 by the AFCA for the 43rd consecutive week.

For the first time this season, there is a different team at the top as previously undefeated and top-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater dropped its first game of the season on Saturday and slips from the top spot. Mount Union takes over the number one spot in both polls as the Purple Raiders grabbed 38 of 42 first-place votes in the AFCA Poll and 19 of 25 in the D3football.com Poll to easily move up to number one.

Mary Hardin-Baylor and Linfield grabbed two first-place votes each in the AFCA Poll and check in at second and third, respectively. Wesley and Wheaton (IL) round out the top five in the AFCA rankings.

Linfield picked up the six remaining first-place votes from D3football.com to rank second, while Mary Hardin-Baylor, Wesley and Wisconsin-Oshkosh check in at third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Johns Hopkins will put its five game season-opening and 26-game regular-season winning streaks on the line this Friday when the Blue Jays host Dickinson (2-3, 2-2 CC). Kickoff at Homewood Field is set for 7 pm.
