Oct. 26, 2015

LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins junior linebacker Jack Campbell (Chagrin Falls, OH/Chagrin Falls) has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Blue Jays' 36-7 win at Gettysburg on Saturday. This is the first time in Campbell's career that he has earned the honor.

Campbell totaled a career-high 15 tackles, including half a sack and 1.5 for losses, forced one fumble and recovered two others in the victory against the Bullets. The Johns Hopkins defense held the Bullets more than 150 yards and 27 points under their season averages entering the game. With his effort against Gettysburg, Campbell pushed his team-leading tackle total to 52 on the year. He also has 3.5 tackles for losses, one sack, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. His 52 tackles are a career high and bump his career total to 130. He also has 7.5 tackles for losses and three sacks in 25 career games played.
