How it Happened

• The Green Terror doubled its lead with just 3:38 to play in the second half. Megan Quattrone beat the last Blue Jay defender on a breakaway, drew out sophomore Greta Helvie and then scored on a shot to the far side of the cage.
• There was a flurry of goals to start the second half as the teams combined for three goals in 74 seconds and McDaniel led 3-2. Hopkins struck first to cut the deficit in half 2:24 into the half. Off a corner, sophomore Francesca Cali fired a hard shot from just outside the circle and junior Victoria Piscopo deflected it past Christina Gooding.
• McDaniel answered 62 seconds later to go up 3-1 with Quattrone's second of the game. Haley VanNostrand passed into the circle from the right side and Quattrone one-timed a shot into the center of the cage. The Blue Jays pulled back within one just 12 seconds later as junior Lindsey Adams tipped in a pass from Piscopo.
• Hopkins drew even at the 15:07-mark as sophomore Princess Sutherland got her sixth goal of the season. Senior Kiana Duncan passed down to Sutherland, who redirected the ball past Gooding.
• Sophomore Morgan Pothast gave the Blue Jays the win 6:54 into the game as she put back in her own rebound.
