BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins offensive lineman Colin Egan has added yet another preseason All-America nod to his ever-growing resume as he was named to the D3football.com Preseason All-America First Team it was recently announced. Egan previously was named a First Team Preseason All-American by Lindy's College Football preview magazine and the Sporting News.
Egan earned First Team D3football.com All-America honors last season, when he also grabbed First Team D3football.com All-South, First Team All-ECAC South, First Team All-Centennial and First Team CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District as well. He was one of just three non-seniors to earn First Team D3football.com All-America honors on offense last season.
Johns Hopkins posted an 11-1 record, won a sixth consecutive Centennial Conference title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Playoffs last season. The 11 wins are a school single-season record and the Blue Jays ended the 2014 season ranked 10th in both the AFCA and D3football.com polls.
Johns Hopkins will open the 2015 season on Saturday, September 5 when the Blue Jays travel to Ashland, Virginia to take on Randolph-Macon.
