BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins football team will open the second half of the season this Friday night at Dickinson ranked in the same spot it held in AFCA Division III Coaches Poll (8th) and the D3football.com Poll (9th) prior to last week’s bye. The Blue Jays are ranked in the same spot in both polls for the third consecutive week.

The Blue Jays (5-0, 4-0 Centennial Conference) are ranked in the top 25 by the AFCA for the 54th consecutive week and in the top 25 of the D3football.com Poll for the 56th consecutive week. In addition, the top 10 AFCA ranking is the 33rd all-time for Johns Hopkins, including the 22nd consecutive, while the Blue Jays are in the top 10 of the D3football.com Poll 19th time.

Mount Union (OH) tops both polls again this week. The Purple Raiders are followed by Wisconsin-Whitewater, Mary Hardin-Baylor (TX), St. Thomas (MN) and Wheaton (IL) in the AFCA Poll; the top four are the same in the D3football.com Poll with Wisconsin-Oshkosh checking in at number five in that poll.

Johns Hopkins will carry a 36-game regular season winning streak and a 32-game Centennial Conference winning streak into this week’s game at Dickinson (0-5, 0-4 CC). The Blue Jays have also won 20 consecutive games in the month of October and are seeking their 10th straight win against the Red Devils.
