• The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's swim team picked up a combined 19 wins to sweep Drexel and host Loyola on Saturday in the Thomas Murphy Invitational.
Top Finishers • Drexel
• Johns Hopkins opened the day with a win and a fourth-place finish in the 200 Free Relay. The Blue Jays' won the relay in 1:25.84, while the fourth-place finishers clocked in at 1:28.10.
• Junior Kyle Otazu then finished second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:10.90, while freshman Raph Bechtold placed third in 4:13.06.
• Junior Mark Wilson claimed the top spot in the 100 Fly as he touched in 50.64 with classmate Jan Hagemeister placing fourth in 52.93.
• Sophomore John Chu took second in the 200 Free (1:43.61) and junior Davis Knox took fifth (1:48.05).
• Sophomore Peter Lazorchak followed with a win in the 100 Breast with a time of 57.67. Senior Scott Sterrett claimed fourth as he finished in 1:00.45.
• Senior Evan Holder then grabbed the first of his two individual wins against the Dragons. He beat the field with a time of 51.51 to take first in the 100 Back. Junior Peter Conzola followed closely in second, touching just two-tenths of a second later.
• Senior Andy Greenhalgh dominated the 1650 Free as he won in 15:55.80. Bostrom followed with a second-place finish and a time of 16:30.48.
• Hopkins grabbed another relay win, this time in the 200 Medley Relay. Conzola, Lazorchak, Mark Wilson and junior Michael Ashmead combined for a winning time of 1:33.56. Hagemeister, Sterrett, freshman Matthew Garza and senior Jeremy Bauchwitz placed third in 1:37.17.
• Junior Andrew Gibson placed second in the 200 Back in 1:55.29, while Conzola took sixth (1:58.37).
• Holder earned his second win, touching in 46.78 in the 100 Free, with Chu placing third in 47.24.
• Sterrett followed with a second-place finish in the 200 Breast as he finished in 2:10.96. Freshman Vincent Hou placed fourth with a time of 2:11.79.
• Mark Wilson completed his sweep of the Fly events with a first-place finish in the 200 in 1:55.43. Greenhalgh claimed second place with a time of 1:57.37.
• Hopkins capped the night with first and third-place finishes in the 400 Free Relay. Ashmead, Holder, Bauchwitz and Otazu grabbed the win with a time of 3:06.93. Taking third were senior Patrick Flynn, sophomore Michael Wohl, freshman Reid Cagir and junior Austin Wilson in 3:13.32.

• Johns Hopkins opened with first and third-place finishes in the 200 Free Relay. The Blue Jays' won the relay in 1:25.84, while the third-place finishers clocked in at 1:28.10.

• Hopkins swept the top three spots in the 1650 Free, led by Greenhalgh's impressive performance. He beat the field by more than 34 seconds to win in 15:55.80. Bostrom took second in 16:30.48 and freshman Ali Aly took third in 16:51.98.
• The Blue Jays won another relay as Conzola, Lazorchak, Mark Wilson and Ashmead won the 200 Medley Relay in 1:33.56. Hagemeister, Sterrett, Garza and Bauchwitz placed third in 1:37.17.
• Gibson and Conzola then finished second and third, respectively in the 200 Back. Gibson finished in 1:55.29 and Conzola in 1:58.37.
• Hopkins turned in another one-two-three sweep, this time in the 100 Free. Holder led the field with his winning time of 46.78. Chu followed in second (47.24) and Ashmead in third (47.57).
• Sterrett followed with a second-place finish in the 200 Breast in 2:10.96 with Hou taking third in 2:11.79.
• Mark Wilson completed his sweep of the Fly events with a first-place finish in the 200 in 1:55.43. Greenhalgh claimed second place with a time of 1:57.37.
• Hopkins capped the night with first and third-place finishes in the 400 Free Relay. Ashmead, Holder, Bauchwitz and Otazu grabbed the win with a time of 3:06.93. Taking third were Flynn, Wohl, Cagir and Austin Wilson in 3:13.32.
What it Means
• Johns Hopkins is now 16-7 all-time against Loyola and has won six straight in the series.
• Hopkins is 4-1 all-time versus Drexel in the first meeting between the two since January 15, 1972. The Blue Jays have won the last four meetings.
• Senior Andy Greenhalgh's time in the 1650 Free is an NCAA provisional qualifying time.
