Senior Olivia Kasten clinched the win for the Blue Jays.

ALLENTOWN, PA -- The 11th-ranked Johns Hopkins women's tennis team picked up an 8-1 win at Muhlenberg on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Jays improve to 13-4 on the season, including 8-0 in the Centennial Conference. The Mules fall to 2-10 overall and 1-7 in the conference.

Hopkins opened the match by sweeping the doubles and dropped just four games in the process. Sophomores Megumi Chen and Caroline Greydak needed just eight games to beat Meghan Olsen and Jenny Levenson at first doubles. Junior Anna Kankanala and senior Olivia Kasten beat Jamie Rosenblum and Hannah Molk, 8-3, at second. And at third, freshman Mika Inadomi and senior Andrea Joseph won 8-1 over Brittany Gould and Jourdyn Buckheit.

Kankanala earned the first point of singles play, beating Molk 6-3, 6-0. Kasten then clinched the win as she defeated Gould 6-0, 6-1. Sara Finger picked up the lone Mules' point as she beat Chen 7-5, 6-3 at first. Senior Andrea Joseph then beat Buckheit 6-0, 6-1 at sixth and freshman Katie Gauch followed with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Levenson at fifth. Inadomi closed out the match as she beat Olsen 6-0, 7-6 (6) at fourth.

Hopkins returns to action on Wednesday as the Blue Jays travel to the Battlefield to take on the Gettysburg Bullets. The Centennial Conference match is slated for a 4:00 pm start.
