• The Short Story: The 13th-ranked Johns Hopkins women's tennis team lost just one set en route to a 9-0 win over host Gettysburg Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened
• Hopkins lost a total of just five games in doubles play to jump out to a 3-0 lead. Senior Ashnaa Rao and freshman Sophia Strickland beat Laura Gradiska and Maria Martinovic, 8-1, at first. Seniors Jody Law and Anna Kankanala won by the same score at second over Samantha Boardman and Gillian Minnerly. Sophomores Katie Gauch and Chrissy Simon defeated Mary Cecio and Ally Flood, 8-3, at third.
• Rao lost just one game in her win over Martinovic at first singles. Kankanala and Gauch did the same as they won at fifth and sixth, respectively.
• Law was also a straight sets winner as she beat Gradiska 6-1, 6-2 at second. Strickland beat Minnerly 6-0, 6-3 at third. Simon prevailed in three sets over Boardman at fourth 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (8).

What it Means
• Hopkins improves to 17-15 all-time against Gettysburg and has won 16 straight in the series.
• The Blue Jays have now won 102 consecutive Centennial Conference (CC) regular season matches. Hopkins is 165-60 (.733) all-time in CC regular season matches.
