FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – After a 22-day layoff, the Johns Hopkins wrestling team returned to action on Sunday at the Citrus Invitational and currently sits in sixth place in the 14-team event with 45.5 points after the first day of competition.  Third-ranked Augsburg leads the team standings with 92.5 points, while 21^st-ranked John Carroll (80.5 points), NYU (78.5), seventh-ranked Baldwin Wallace (75.5) and Ferrum (68.0) round out the top five.
 
Reyes to Semifinals
Junior 165 Dominick Reyes, who is currently ranked 10^th in the nation, won all three of his matches on the day to advance to Monday's semifinals.  He picked up wins by fall, major decision and decision and will take on NYU's Cole Karam in the semifinals.  Reyes is now 13-2 on the year and 65-24 in his career and moved into a tie for 14^th on Johns Hopkins' career victories list with his win in the quarterfinals.
 
Five Alive in Consolation Bracket
Johns Hopkins will enter Monday's second day of competition with five wrestlers still alive in the consolation bracket:
 
• In a full 32-man bracket, sophomore Joe Paul (174) won his first match by major decision before falling to top-seeded Nick Rogge of Augsburg.  In the consolation bracket, he scored three more wins – two by fall and another by major decision – to stay alive in the race for third place.  He will take on Wyllie Allen of Cornell College in his first match on Monday and is guaranteed a top-eight finish.
 
•  Freshman Brent Lorin (125) also picked up a win by major decision in his first match before dropping to the consolation bracket.  There, after a pair of early takedowns, he pinned Griffin Gravel of Cornell College in the first period to advance to take on John Carroll's Kyle Murray on Monday morning.  Like Paul, he also is guaranteed a top-eight finish.
 
•  Sophomore Bradlee Lamontagne (157) is in a 31-man bracket and posted a 2-2 record with a pair of second-period pins in the consolation bracket.  He is guaranteed two matches on Monday and will take on Nicholas Sbrocco of Baldwin Wallace with a chance to finish as high as 13^th.
 
•  Sophomore Hank Behaeghel (285) is one of 28 competitors at heavyweight and went 2-2 on the day with first and second-period pins to his credit.  Like Lamontagne, he can still place as high as 13^th with two guaranteed matches on Monday; he will open against Travis Manick of Rhode Island College.
 
•  Sophomore Jared Osborne (149) is also in contention to place as high as 13^th in a 27-man bracket at 149 pounds.  He dropped his first match, but bounced back to win two straight decisions before falling in overtime to Michael Gowen of Liberty.  He will take on Sam La Corte of NYU in the first of his two guaranteed matches on Monday.
