LANCASTER, PA – Sophomore
Ariel Keklak of the third-ranked Johns Hopkins women's track & field team has been named the Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Year for the first time in her career.
Keklak opened the NYC Division III Invitational with an impressive leg of the DMR which saw the sophomore cut over 12 seconds off her previous best mile time as she ran a 4:58.87 to help secure the victory for the team. She also notched a third-place finish in the 800-meter run as she crossed the finish line in 2:18.70 to set a new career-best mark. Keklak's impressive performances helped give the Blue Jays the meet victory.
Johns Hopkins returns to action on Friday, February 8 as JHU will send athletes to the Navy Select Invitational and the David Hemery Invitational.
