• The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins women's track and field team took part in both the Navy Select Invitational and the David Hemery Invitational on Friday, and the Blue Jays put together many impressive performances at both meets.

Other Meet Highlights:

Maya Hammonds had a successful day at Navy, earning a third-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.53m. She also notched a ninth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles (9.62) and a 12
th-place finish in the 60-meter dash (8.20).
•
Libby Kos finished the 1,000-meter run in 3:16.48 while
Catharine Wain had a leap of 4.77m in the long jump event.

Annie Gutierrez and
Sophia Cortazzo both performed in the pole vault as Gutierrez finished in eighth with a mark of 3.45m while Cortazzo cleared 3.30m which was good enough for ninth.
• In the triple jump,
Veronica Montane notched a fourth-place finish with a leap of 10.95m while
Cherease Lamm finished in eighth with a mark of 10.20m.
• In the mile race at BU,
Therese Olshanski notched another sub-five-minute mile with a time of 4:59.04 while
Ariel Keklak finished in 5:07.61.

Alexandra Damron set new career-best times in the 200-meter dash (26.71) and 400-meter dash (59.21) while
Ashley Tyburski (1:00.42) and
Hailey Sheppell (1:00.78) also put up great times in the 400-meter dash. Tyburski ran the 200-meter dash in 27.00 while Sheppell completed the race in 27.28.

Caelyn Reilly finished the 3k in 9:37.70 which is the third fastest time in JHU history and is the third fastest time in D3 this season.
Emily Stahl earned a time of 10:04.06 in the race.
Ellie Clawson finished the 5k in 17:27.87.
