« Johns Hopkins (2-3) returns home for the first time since February 16 as the Blue Jays welcome Mount St. Mary's (3-4) to Homewood. This is Johns Hopkins' only mid-week game of the season.

Flipping The Calendar to March
« This year's 1-2 record at the end of February may have had Blue Jay fans thinking back to last season. After starting the 2018 season 1-2, the Blue Jays proceeded to reel off five straight wins in the month of March to turn the 1-2 mark into a 6-2 record entering April.
« Prior to last week's loss at Syracuse, Johns Hopkins had won eight consecutive games in the month of March dating back to 2017.
« JHU is 13-5 in its last 18 games in the month of March dating back to the 2015 season. Â

« This week's game will be the seventh game in a series that dates to a 19-6 Johns Hopkins win in 2006.
« JHU leads the all-time series 6-0 and won the last meeting in 2014, 17-2, at the Mount.  The Blue Jays have scored at least 12 goals in each of the previous six meetings ... the Mountaineers have scored six goals or less in five of the six.
On This Date
« This week's game against Mount St. Mary's will be Johns Hopkins' eighth all-time game on March 12. The Blue Jays are 6-1 all-time on March 12 and have won three straight.
« Included in the Blue Jays' 6-1 record on March 12 is a 12-8 win at Washington College in 1988 ... one of the starting defensemen in that game for JHU was current Blue Jay head coach Dave Pietramala, while Quint Kessenich, who will be on the call for this week's game, was JHU's starting goalie that day. In addition, the Blue Jays' starting long stick middie that day was JHU associate head coach Bill Dwan.

« This week's game will be JHU's sixth game of the season. JHU's first five opponents (Towson, Loyola, North Carolina, Syracuse) are a combined 18-10 (.643) through games of March 10.
Road Warriors
« Johns Hopkins returns home this week after playing four of its first five games on the road in 2019. The Blue Jays opened at Towson (Feb. 9), returned home to play Loyola (Feb. 16) and then played at North Carolina (Feb. 23), at Princeton (Mar. 2) and at Syracuse (Mar. 9) in succession.
« The three-game road trip is nothing new for Johns Hopkins. The Blue Jays also had three-game road swings in 2015, 2016 & 2017.

« JHU's non-offensive players have combined for 13 points (6g, 7a) in the last three games. They combined for three goals and three assists in the 11-10 win at North Carolina and the group came back with two goals and three assists in the 14-12 win at Princeton.
Against the NEC
