Johns Hopkins Places Thirty-Eight on Academic All-Big Ten Team

ROSEMONT, IL – For the third straight year, the Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse team led the league with 38 players earning Academic All-Big Ten honors as the league announced honorees in spring and at-large sports this week. The 38 selections are tied for second most in program history and this is the fifth consecutive year that the Blue Jays have had 30 or more players honored.

A total of 172 players from the six schools that sponsor men's lacrosse in the Big Ten were named to the team. In all, a total of 2,759 students competing in spring and at-large sports were named to the Academic All-Big Ten team.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list as of May 1 for spring sports, who have been enrolled fulltime at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

Hopkins has now produced 279 Academic All-Big Ten selections since joining the league in 2015.
