The Game
«  Johns Hopkins (2-2) hits the road for the third straight game and the fourth time in five games as the Blue Jays head to Syracuse (2-2) to take on the Orange.
«  Johns Hopkins is coming off a 14-12 win at Princeton that evened the Blue Jays' record at 2-2 on the year.
 

The Facts
«  This is the 132nd season of Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse.  JHU first fielded a team in 1883.
«  Johns Hopkins enters this week's game with an all-time record of 985-336-15.
«  JHU owns 44 national championships with nine NCAA titles, 35 USILA titles and six ILA crowns to its credit.

Flipping The Calendar to March
«  This year's 1-2 record at the end of February may have had Blue Jay fans thinking back to last season.  After starting the 2018 season 1-2, the Blue Jays proceeded to reel off five straight wins in the month of March to turn the 1-2 mark into a 6-2 record entering April.
«  Johns Hopkins enters this week's game at Syracuse having won eight consecutive games in the month of March dating back to 2017.
«  JHU is 13-4 in its last 17 games in the month of March dating back to the 2015 season.

«  Johns Hopkins is ranked 17th in this week's USILA Coaches Poll and 18th in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.  These are the two official in-season polls conducted throughout the regular season.

«  This week's game will be the 57th between Johns Hopkins and Syracuse.  The series dates to a 4-4 tie in 1921.
«  JHU leads the all-time series 30-26-1 and won last season's meeting 18-7 at Carrier Dome.

On This Date
«  This week's game at Syracuse will be eighth all-time for Johns Hopkins on March 9.  JHU is 7-0 all-time in games played on this date.
«  Included in the Blue Jays' 7-0 record on March 9 is an 8-6 win against Syracuse in 1985.  At the time, that was the first regular season game between the two teams since 1968 - the teams have played in the regular season every year since.

«  Through four games, non-offensive players  (defensemen, long & short-stick defensive middies and faceoff specialists) have accumulated six goals and eight assists for the Blue Jays.
« JHU's non-offensive players have combined for 11 points (5g, 6a) in the last two games.  They combined for three goals and three assists in the 11-10 win at North Carolina and the group came back with two goals and three assists in the 14-12 win at Princeton.

Against the ACC
«  This week's game against Syracuse will be the 224th all-time for Johns Hopkins against a team currently in the ACC.
«  Johns Hopkins is 133-88-2 (.601) all-time against current ACC members.
