BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins men's track & field team will have three athletes competing in four different events in this weekend's NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be hosted by the University of Massachusetts Boston at the Reggie Lewis Center from Friday, March 8-Saturday, March 9. This is the sixth time overall that JHU has gone to the indoor championships with its best finish coming in 2015 when the Blue Jays finished 13th. Here is a look at the three athletes competing in this year's championship:

LONG JUMP: The long jump finals will take place on Friday at 6:45 pm. The event will feature 20 athletes with the top nine from the flight advancing to the finals.

Matthew Su (Jr.) – Su is taking part in the long jump for the second consecutive season. This year he is seeded fifth with a mark of 7.24m and will be in the second flight of the day. Su is looking to build off a ninth-place finish in last year's event as he finished with a leap of 6.82m. This season the junior set a Centennial Conference record in the long jump at the Great Dane Invitational with his leap of 7.24m.

HEPTATHLON: The heptathlon will be split over Friday and Saturday with the first event, the 60-meter dash, beginning at 10 am on Friday. Day one will also feature the long jump (10:50 am), shot put (12:25 pm) and high jump (4:30 pm) events. Day two of the event will begin with the 60-meter hurdles at 10 am and will be followed by the pole vault at 10:50 am. The event will conclude with the 1,000-meter run at 3 pm.

Justin Canedy (Fr.) – The freshman is seeded sixth with 4,904 points which he achieved at the George Mason Patriot Games where he finished second overall. The mark set a new freshmen record and is the third highest point total in program history.

HIGH JUMP: The high jump event will be held on Friday at 7:15 pm with 20 athletes competing in the event.

• Canedy will also be taking part in the high jump. He set a Hopkins freshman record with a mark of 2.05m, which he achieved at the George Mason Patriot Games.

3,000-METER RUN: The prelims of the race will take part on Friday with the top four from each heat plus the next four best times advancing to Saturday's final. The prelims will be held on Friday at 1 pm with the finals on Saturday at 4:55 pm.

Alex Doran (Sr.) – Doran, who holds the top-two times in program history in the 3k, is seeded 18th with a time of 8:22.82. He will be competing in the second heat of the day. The senior finished second at the All-Atlantic Championships and third at the conference championship meet in the 3k.
