BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins women's track & field team will be sending eight athletes to compete in five different events at the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships which will be hosted by the University of Massachusetts Boston and be held at the Reggie Lewis Center from Friday, March 8- Saturday March 9. This is the 10th time overall that JHU has gone to the indoor championships with its best finish coming in 2015 when the Blue Jays finished 16th. Here is a look at the athletes competing:
DISTANCE MEDLEY RELAY: The distance medley relay event will take place on Friday at 8:45 pm.

Ariel Keklak,
Alexandra Damron,
Erin Brush, and
Therese Olshanski enter the race seeded 11th with a time of 11:48.46. The team qualified for the championships with their victory at the All-Atlantic Regional Championships last weekend.
3,000-METER RUN: The prelims are scheduled for 12:30 pm on Friday, while the finals will take place on Saturday at 4:40 pm. There will be two heats in the prelims with the top four from each heat advancing plus the next four best times.

Emily Stahl is making her NCAA debut for indoor track as she is seeded 14th overall in the event. The senior ran a 10:04.06 at the David Hemery Invitational in February which is the fourth-fastest time by a Blue Jay runner in the event.
5,000-METER RUN: The 5,000-meter run is scheduled to take place on Friday at 7:20 pm. There are 20 athletes taking part in the race and JHU will have two runners in the race.

Caelyn Reilly leads the way for Hopkins as she is seeded fifth in the race with her time of 16:45.75 which she achieved at the Patriot Games. Reilly won the 5k at the Centennial Conference Championships as she was named both the conference and Mideast Region's Track Athlete of the Year. Joining Reilly will be
Samantha Levy who is seeded 17th in the event with a time of 17:18.63 which she ran at the conference championships.
LONG JUMP: The long jump event will feature two flights with 10 athletes in each flight. The top nine advance to the finals. The event will begin at 1pm on Friday.

Maya Hammonds (Sr.): Hammonds finished 10th in the long jump last season at NCAAs and enters this year seeded third with a leap of 5.80m and will be in the second flight on Friday. Her mark set a new Hopkins and Centennial Conference Indoor record. Hammonds was named the Centennial Conference and the Mideast Regional Field Athlete of the Year for the indoor season.
PENTATHLON: The pentathlon event will take place on Friday beginning at 11 am and features the 60-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800-meter dash.
• Hammonds will also be taking part in the pentathlon where she is seeded 10th with 3,424 points. She set a new school record for total points in the event at the conference championships where she won every event except the shot put in which she earned a third-place finish.
