LANCASTER, PA – Freshman Justin Canedy of the Johns Hopkins men's track & field team has been named the Centennial Conference Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Towson Invitational on Saturday. This is the second straight week a Blue Jay has earned the award from the conference and it marks the third weekly award for Canedy in his young career.
 
The Medina, OH native registered a second-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.94m and also earned a fourth-place finish in the pole vault with a mark of 3.35m. His mark in the high jump tops the conference and ranks 44^th nationally.
 
Hopkins will host the Blue Jay Invitational on Friday, April 12 with events beginning at 10am.
