LANCASTER, PA – Freshman
Justin Canedy of the Johns Hopkins men's track & field team has been named the Centennial Conference Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Towson Invitational on Saturday. This is the second straight week a Blue Jay has earned the award from the conference and it marks the third weekly award for Canedy in his young career.
The Medina, OH native registered a second-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.94m and also earned a fourth-place finish in the pole vault with a mark of 3.35m. His mark in the high jump tops the conference and ranks 44
th nationally.
Hopkins will host the Blue Jay Invitational on Friday, April 12 with events beginning at 10am.
