NEW ORLEANS, LA – Five members of the Johns Hopkins men's outdoor track & field team were named to the Mideast All-Region team as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the all-region teams.

In order to earn all-region honors, an individual must finish in the top-five in an event and the relay team must finish in the top-three in the region.

Justin Canedy led the way with three all-region honors as the freshman led the Mideast Region in the decathlon with 6,340 points which he achieved at the 2019 Mount Multis on April 11. He ranks third in the region in the high jump with his mark of 2.05 at the Centennial Conference Championships and his leap of 7.14m at the VCU Final Qualifier meet ranks fifth in the region. Ethan Bartlett also earned all-region honors as placing second in the region in the triple jump with his leap of 14.31m at the Fred Hardy Invitational.

Junior
Matthew Su notched all-region honors in the long jump with his leap of 7.34m at the All-Atlantic Regional to place second in the region.
Jared Pangallozzi ran a 30:14.02 in the 10,000-meter run at the Penn Relays which is the second-best time in the region. Senior
Alex Mollick rounded out the all-region honors for the Blue Jays as his time of 10.61 in the 100-meter dash at VCU places him third in the region.

Mollick, Pangallozzi and Su will all be participating in the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Geneva, OH beginning on Thursday, May 23.
