BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins baseball team is ranked 14th in the D3Baseball.com/NCBWA Preseason Poll it was announced last night. Off the heels of a historic 2019 season, the Blue Jays will kick off the 2020 campaign on February 22nd with a home doubleheader versus St. John Fisher.
The Blue Jays finished 37-13 in 2019, ripping off a fantastic postseason run before ultimately falling to Birmingham-Southern College to place third at the DIII College World Series. Hopkins finished with 285 points in the preseason poll, three points behind Salisbury for 13th.
Chapman grabbed 19 first-place votes to earn the top spot in the poll. Webster, Trinity (Tx), Birmingham-Southern and Heidelberg round out the top-five of the poll.
