LANCASTER, PA –
Elias Boussouf and
Justin Canedy were named Centennial Conference Athletes of the week after their performances at the Gettysburg Quad Meet this past weekend. This is the first honor for Boussouf and the seventh for Canedy.
Boussouf set a new PR in the 400 hurdles with a time of 55.04 seconds, placing him in the top-25 nationally, just shy of an NCAA qualifying mark. The junior won the event by 1.31 seconds at the Gettysburg Quad Meet. Boussouf also set a new PR in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.58 seconds.
Canedy, competing for the first time this season, won the triple jump with a leap of 14.20m at the Gettysburg Quad Meet. The junior's mark is a top-five mark in program history and is currently tied for 18
th among DIII athletes.
The Blue Jays will compete at the Centennial Conference Championships in Allentown, PA this weekend.
