Annie Gutierrez broke her own women's program record in the pole vault with a 3.82m mark on Tuesday afternoon in Salisbury. The senior breezed past her previous PR and school record of 3.74m set at the Gettysburg Invitational on April 24th. Already in position to qualify for NCAA's with her previous mark, Gutierrez solidified her spot, jumping into sixth-place nationally at the Division III level. The Floridian also set PR's in the 200 (27.00) and the 400 (1:00.74).
On Saturday at the ECAC/IC4A meet,
Therese Olshanski qualified for NCAA's in the women's steeplechase in just her second attempt at the event. Olshanski's time of 10:57.04 is good for 11th in Division III.
Other Notable Performances
- Elias Boussouf inched ever closer to an NCAA qualifying time in the 400m hurdles, posting a time of 54.21 at the Salisbury Final Qualifier on Tuesday afternoon. Boussouf currently sits in a tie for 22nd at the Division III level. Boussouf will get one more crack at qualifying at Rowan on Thursday.
- Victoria Kadiri continued her impressive freshman campaign, snagging a PR in the high jump with a mark of 1.60m. Already qualified for NCAA's in the long jump, Kadiri put up another strong jump of 5.77m.
- Josh Derrick set a PR in the 10,000 on Saturday at the ECAC/IC4A meet with a time of 30:49.17. The mark puts him 24th nationally, just outside of a qualifying spot.
