A Look at the JHU Men's Lacrosse Class of 2025

Quick Bios of 12 Blue Jay Freshmen

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse coach Peter Milliman and his staff welcomed their 12-member freshman class to campus on Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22.  The dozen recently completed freshman orientation on the Homewood campus in advance of fall semester classes starting today, Monday, August 30.
 
Below are brief bios for each of the 12 Blue Jay freshmen.  The team recently began a social media introduction of the class on twitter (@jhumenslacrosse) and Instagram (@jhumenslax) with video highlights of each member off the class.
 
Brackton Bowler (LSM)
Syracuse, NY / Christian Brothers Academy
 
• US Lacrosse All-American and All-Central New York selection as a senior.
• Two-time first team all-league selection as a sophomore and senior (junior season canceled due to COVID-19).
• Totaled 10 goals and five assists as a senior.
• Finished career with 18 goals and 10 assists.
• Helped team to section finals as a sophomore and senior and region finals as a freshman.
• Team posted a record of 39-16 during his career.
• Played for former Syracuse All-American Rick Beardsley at CBA.
 
Logan Callahan (FO)
Victor, NY / Victor
 
• Three-year member of varsity lacrosse team.
• US Lacrosse All-American as a senior.
• Named Monroe County Player of the Year and Section 5 Offensive Player of the Year in final season.
• Grabbed All-Greater Rochester honors as a senior, when he won 84% of his faceoffs.
• Helped team to an 18-4 record and New York State title as a sophomore and a 13-2 record as a senior. 
Jack Charboneau (A)
Coquitlam, BC / Blue Ridge (VA)
 
• First Team Virginia Independent All-Conference and second team all-state selection as a senior.
• Earned first team all-conference and First Team All-Central Virginia honors as a sophomore.
• Career-high 94 points on 47 goals and 47 assists as a sophomore, when he helped team to conference title and state quarterfinals.
• Rang up 40 goals and 25 assists for 65 points as a senior.
• Helped team to conference title game and state quarterfinals in final season.
• Played for former Virginia head coach Dom Starsia while at Blue Ridge.
 
Hakim Hicks (M)
Harlem, NY / Westtown
 
• Three-year member of varsity lacrosse team at Westtown.
• Helped lead Westtown to the Friends School League title game as a senior.
• Attended the Eaglebrook School (MA) as a freshman and was a member of the varsity lacrosse team there.
• Inaugural member of Harlem Lacrosse in 2015. 
Nick Kaufman (LSM)
Huntingtown, MD / St. Mary's
 
• Four-year member of varsity lacrosse team.
• Capped career by earning all-state, All-MIAA, all-county and all-metro honors while totaling 54 ground balls, 28 caused turnovers, four goals and six assists as a senior.
• Rang up 17 ground balls and five caused turnovers in just three games during COVID-shortened 2020 season.
• Led team to MIAA Semifinals as a sophomore, when he grabbed team MVP honors after posting 84 ground balls, 33 caused turnovers, eight goals and three assists.
• Got career off to a strong start with 52 ground balls, 22 caused turnovers, three goals and five assists as a freshman.
 
Stuart Phillips (M)
Coquitlam, BC / Trinity-Pawling
 
• Team captain as a senior.
• Helped lacrosse team to an 8-6 record in final season.
• Earned a starting spot as a sophomore and helped the Pride to an 10-6 record in New England West I.
• Rang up 21 points in just six games playing for the Port Coquitlam Saints of the British Columbia Junior A lacrosse league.
• Attended the Terry Fox Secondary School as a freshman and earned team MVP honors.
Jeremiah Reen (M)
Pelham Manor, NY / Pelham Memorial
 
• All-league and all-section selection as a senior, when he helped team to section semifinals.
• Totaled 43 points on 18 goals and 25 assists in 10 games as a senior.
• Helped team to a 19-3 record and a NYCHSAA State title as a sophomore.
• Recorded 18 goals and 16 assists as a sophomore in first varsity season.
 
Sam Teachout (M)
Dallas, TX / Jesuit Prep
 
• Rang up 61 goals and 42 assists for 103 points in four varsity seasons (junior season limited to seven games due to COVID-19 pandemic).
• US Lacrosse and Adrenaline Lacrosse All-American and all-state selection as a senior, when he helped team to 12-2 record and a state championship with 14 goals and 15 assists.
• Rang up 17 points (9g, 8a) in COVID-shortened 2020 season.
• All-state selection as a sophomore after posting a career-high 40 points on 23 goals and 17 assists.  Team advanced to state semifinals and posted a 15-4 record.
• Team's Rookie of the Year after a 13-goal, two-assist effort on a 13-6 team that reached the state quarterfinals during freshman season.
 Jojo Todaro (D)
Franklin Square, NY / Carey
 
• UnderArmour All-American as a senior.
• Earned all-county honors as a senior, when he helped team to a 7-3 record and a conference title.
• All-county selection as a sophomore and all-conference selection as a sophomore as well.
• Junior season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
 
Jack Webb (G)
Baltimore, MD / Loyola
 
 • Three-year member of varsity lacrosse team.
•  Team captain and all-state selection as a senior, when he helped team to a 6-4 record and an appearance in the MIAA Quarterfinals.
• Member of MIAA Semifinal team that posted a 7-4 record in 2019.
• Team was 2-0 in the COVID-shortened 2020 season.
• Two-time participant in the UnderArmour Underclass Tournament.
Sam Whitaker (D)
Davie, FL / St. Thomas Aquinas
 
• Four-year member of varsity lacrosse team.
• US Lacrosse All-American as a senior.
• Three-time all-district selection (freshman, sophomore, senior).
• Earned all-region as a sophomore and senior.
• Helped team qualify for state tournament as a freshman.
• Selected to the Senior All-Star game.
• Played for Terry Crowley, the winningest high school boys lacrosse coach in Florida history.
 
Chris Wong (A)
Wilmington, DE / Salesianum
 
• Totaled 84 goals and 40 assists in three varsity seasons (junior season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic).
• Helped team to a 10-3 record and a state title while ringing up 16 goals and seven assists as a senior.
• Totaled career-high 81 points (56g, 25a) as a sophomore, when he led team to a state runner-up finish while earning all-state honors.
• Freshman member of state title team in 2018.  Recorded 12 goals and eight assists for team that posted a 13-3 record.
