BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins men's soccer team received six first-place votes and 77 total points to earn the top spot in the 2021 Centennial Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.
Hopkins took home the most recent Centennial Conference Championship in 2019. JHU went 7-1-1 in conference play and beat host F&M, 3-2, in the title game. The Blue Jays finished the season with a 17-3-1 record and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Franklin & Marshall sits in a close second with three first-place votes and 74 points. Swarthmore grabbed the other first-place vote and 63 points to come in third in the poll. Rounding out the top-five are Gettysburg (4
th), Dickinson (T-5
th) and Haverford (T-5
th).

Liam Creedon and senior defender
Tim Treinen also return after earning All-Centennial accolades in 2019. The Blue Jays led the conference in save percentage (.824) and ranked second in points per game (5.95), scoring offense (2.14) and goals against average (.745).
