Oluwole Named Centennial Field Athlete of the Week

Competing in just his third career meet, Johns Hopkins freshman Ethan Oluwole blew past his previous PR in the triple jump to earn Centennial Conference Field Athlete of the Week honors.

Oluwole, a freshman from Suffern, NY, posted a mark of 13.51m at this past weekend's Susquehanna Invitational, crushing his previous collegiate best of 12.88m. The mark is currently ranked 32nd in Division III and is the top triple jump mark in the Centennial Conference thus far. Oluwole also posted a personal best in the high jump, placing sixth with a 1.74m leap to add onto his victory in the triple. He becomes the first Blue Jay freshman to be named Centennial Athlete of the Week since Ethan Bartlett did it in the 2019 Outdoor season.

Oluwole and the Blue Jays are next scheduled to compete in the NYC Gotham Cup on Friday at Ocean Breeze.
