NEW ORLEANS - The Johns Hopkins men's indoor track & field team has earned its highest ranking in program history, coming in at number six in the first USTFCCCA Rating Index of the 2022 season.
UW-Oshkosh, Loras, Wartburg, MIT and John Carroll earned the top-five rankings in the first index of the season. The Blue Jays previous best ranking was #13 back in the 2015 season.
So far in 2021-22, the Blue Jays hold eight top-20 marks in Division III. Most recently,
Matthew Kleiman jumped into sixth nationally with his efforts in the mile at the Gotham Cup. Kleiman broke the Blue Jay program record in the event.
Justin Canedy holds multiple top marks, inlcuding the number two mark nationallty in the heptathlon. Canedy also sits in a tie for fifth in the high jump with a 2.04m leap at the Bison Opener in December and in 12th in the long jump (7.10m). The Blue Jay DMR currently has the top time in the country at 10:28.63.
The Blue Jays will compete this weekend at the Patriot Games in Fairfax, VA.
