The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's swim team took down eight pool records and turned in 13 NCAA B times on Saturday at the Blue Jay Invitational.

Top Finishers
• Hopkins opened the day with a pool record in the 200 Medley Relay as the Blue Jays finished with an NCAA B time of 1:30.46.
• Senior
Jeff Vitek then broke his own pool record in the 200 Fly as he touched in 1:48.30. His time is also the seventh fastest in school history. Freshman
Jonik Surprenant followed in second with a time of 1:50.16. Both Vitek and Surprenant's times are NCAA B times.
• Senior
Dylan Wachenfeld took down the pool record and posted an NCAA B time of 1:47.00 in the 200 Back. He knocked 1.26 seconds off his own pool record.
• Junior
Kyle Wu broke the five-year-old pool in the 200 Breast as he clocked in at 2:01.01, an NCAA B time.
• The Blue Jays opened the afternoon session with another pool record and B time, as they turned in a 3:19.76 in the 400 Medley Relay time trial.
• Graduate student
CJ Arena followed with an NCAA B time of 3:59.34 in the 400 IM time trial.
• Senior
Max Chen and WU both turned in B times in the 100 Breast time trial. Chen led the way with a 53.36 to break his own pool record by more than 1.7 seconds. His time is also the third fastest in program history. Wu followed with a time of 55.37.
• Surprenant swam an NCAA B time of 1:50.76 in the 200 Fly time trial.
• Sophomore
Kellen Roddy shaved nearly three seconds off the pool record in the 500 Free, clocking with a 4:28.07 in the time trial.
• Vitek also took down his own pool mark in the 100 Fly as he clocked in with an NCAA B time of 48.44 in the time trial.
• Hopkins wrapped up the day with a pool record in the 200 Free Relay time trial with a 1:22.81.
