Blue Jay Men Cruise To Ninth Straight Centennial Indoor Title

• Meet: Centennial Conference Indoor Championships
• Location: Collegeville, PA (Ursinus College)
• Date: Sunday February 27th
• The Short Story:  The Johns Hopkins men scored 201.50 points to earn a ninth consecutive Centennial Conference Indoor crown. Justin Canedy brought home another gold medal to lead the Jays. 

Meet Winners
• After a win in the triple jump yesterday, Canedy brought home gold in the long jump, setting a new PR with a 7.14m leap. Canedy bumps up into a tie for 17th in Division III as he tries to hang onto an NCAA qualifying spot. 

• Blue Jay sophomore James Reilly brought home Centennial gold putting together a great all-around performance to win the men's heptathlon. Spread over both days of the event, Reilly totaled 4,169 points. Reilly picked wins in the long jump with a 6.46m mark, the 60m dash with a time of 7.51, the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.30 and the pole vault with a mark of 3.85m.

Other Notable Performances
• In the fastest mile race in Centennial Championship history, Matthew Kleiman and Arthur Beyer brought home silver and bronze. All three top finishers broke the previous Centennial meet record with Kleiman finishing at 4:13.50 and Beyer coming at at 4:13.89. Daniel Chen placed fourth in the event with a time of 4:15.25.

Ahmed Elmogi took silver in the 200m run, adding another medal to his already impressive resume with a time of 22.74. 

Kevin Sommer brought home a trio of bronze medals, taking third-place in the 400, 60 hurdles, and 4x400 relay. Sommer finished the 400 with a time of 51.45, the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.89 and combined with Nathaniel Amoah, Michael Kruppa and Elias Boussouf to grab bronze in the 4x400. 

Garrett Brophy matched his previous personal best in the shot put with a 14.11m toss to grab bronze at the Centennial Championships. 

Mitchell Porter earned a bronze medal for the Jays, finishing third in the high jump with a 1.88m leap. 

Owen Bianchi brought home a bronze medal in the long jump, hitting a 6.61m jump.
