BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins seniors Dominick Reyes (165) and Hank Behaeghel (285) will compete at the 2022 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships this weekend in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is Reyes' third trip to the NCAA Championships, while Behaeghel is making his first appearance at the NCAAs.
Reyes drew the number two seed and will open against Will Esmoil of Coe College. Behaeghel is unseeded and will face the winner of the preliminary round match between sixth-seeded Tyler Kim of Augsburg and Brayan Reyes of Millikin in his first match.
The 2022 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships are being hosted by the American Rivers Conference at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids (formerly the US Cellular Center). Preliminary rounds one and two and the first round of consolations will take place in the 12 pm (ET) session on Friday with subsequent sessions at 7 pm (ET) on Friday, 11 am (ET) on Saturday and 8 pm ET) on Saturday.

This is the 13th time Johns Hopkins has been represented at the NCAA Championships since head coach Keith Norris arrived in 2005-06. In all, 23 of the 25 individuals who have qualified for the NCAAs from Johns Hopkins have done so since Norris arrived at Homewood.

Johns Hopkins has produced eight All-Americans with all eight coming since 2008. The eight includes Reyes, who was named a Second Team All-American by the NWCA in 2020 after the NCAA Championships were cancelled. The top finishes in program history came in 2013 (Paul Marcello – 2nd at 141) and 2015 (Paul Bewak – 3rd at 125).
