LANCASTER, PA – The All-Centennial Men's Indoor Track & Field team was announced by the Centennial Conference this morning. After winning the Centennial Indoor Championships, the Jays earned two of the four major awards.
Justin Canedy and
Ahmed Elmogi were named award winners for their efforts last month.
No stranger to Centennial accolades, Canedy earns Outstanding Field Performer honors for the second straight Outdoor Championship. He is the sixth athlete in conference history and second Blue Jay to win the award multiple times. Canedy has five individual indoor championships for his career, adding gold medals in the long jump and triple jump in 2022. Canedy tied the meet record with a 7.14m long jump, propelling him into nationals. His triple jump mark is also the JHU school record.
Elmogi becomes the third Blue Jay to win Outstanding Rookie, earning a pair of individual silver medals and a relay gold. Elmogi helped the Jays win the DMR while taking silver in the 60 and 200.
Six different Blue Jays brought home Centennial Conference gold and earned spots on the All-Centennial First Team. Canedy (long jump & triple jump) was the only two-time winner. He is joined on the first team by
