GETTYSBURG, PA – The Johns Hopkins men's track & field team secured its ninth Centennial Conference title on the final day of the 2026 Outdoor Championships, totaling 11 medals and three event victories to clinch back-to-back crowns.
The Blue Jays finished with 230 points, the second-highest total in program history, comfortably ahead of Ursinus, which placed second with 132.5 points.
The Champions
Caleb Tenney | 1,500 Meters
The Blue Jays grabbed gold and had five of the top six and six of the top eight in the 1,500-meter run. Freshman
Caleb Tenney eased to the individual title as his winning time of 3:47.61 was nearly five seconds better than runner-up Simon Lane of Haverford. Sophomore
Ani Krishan earned bronze when he came across in 3:54.94. Tenney is just the second Blue Jay to win the event at the CC Championships and his time is the best ever by a Hopkins runner at the championship.
Oluwademilade Adeniran | Triple Jump
Adeniran successfully defended his title in the triple jump with a winning mark of 14.14 meters, becoming the first back-to-back champion in program history. He joins Ethan Bartlett as the only two athletes in Johns Hopkins history to win the event twice and is the program's sixth overall champion.
Emmanuel Leblond | 5,000 Meters
The Blue Jays dominated the 5,000 meters, sweeping the top five spots.
Emmanuel Leblond led the way with a winning time of 14:46.34, finishing nearly 15 seconds ahead of teammate
Olaf Dietz, who took silver in 15:01.01.
Brady Ott completed the podium sweep with a bronze in 15:01.99. Leblond is now the first two-time—and back-to-back—champion in program history in the event.
Johns Hopkins went two-three in the 100-meter hurdles with
Tyler Caswell (15.32) and
Jack Maier (15.42) earning silver and bronze, respectively. The efforts by Caswell and Maier give the Blue Jays 16 medals in the 100-meter hurdles since 2006 and this is the fifth time since 2017 that Johns Hopkins has earn two of the top three spots in the event. Caswell also added a silver in the 400-meter hurdles (55.88), the program's sixth all-time in that event.
Fisayo Omonije secured a silver medal in the 800 meters with a time of 1:54.09, becoming the fourth athlete in program history to finish as runner-up in the event.
The Blue Jays grabbed bronze in the 4x100-meter relay as the team of
Josh Lee,
Colin Harte,
Carter Chui and
Alex Colletti clocked in at 42.67, the 10
th-fastest time in program history. This is the 17
th time Johns Hopkins has medaled in the event.
Hopkins closed out the meet with another bronze in the 4x400-meter relay, as
Michael Long, Omonije,
Samson Dessalines and Lee combined to run 3:22.02. The finish marks the program's fourth bronze medal in the event.
The Blue Jays return to action on Monday, May 11, at the Widener Final Qualifier, where select student-athletes will look to secure qualifying marks for the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
