This was Devireddy's first appearance at the championships and she drew a tough opening round match against eighth-seeded Olivia Soffer of Babson. The Beavers' number one singles player is ranked second in the Northeast region and had won nine straight entering the match. Devireddy, ranked 17th in the Atlantic South, gave her all she could handle but dropped a heartbreaker 7-5, 7-5. The Centennial Conference Player and Scholar-Athlete of the Year, she finishes the season with a 10-10 record in singles.Â
