th-ranked Johns Hopkins men's tennis team beat Washington College, 5-1, on Saturday in the Centennial Conference semifinals.

How it Happened
• Hopkins jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a doubles' sweep to take control early. Freshman

Vishnu Joshi picked up the first point of the match with an 8-3 win at second over Landon Strober and Koby Bonta. Sophomore
Rohan Reddy and senior
Brian Wang then defeated Brady Burns and Ryohei Kawai, 8-2, at third. Sophomores
Daniel Ardila and
Vishnu Joshi completed the sweep with an 8-4 win over Andrew Smith and Karl Hoegstedt at first.
• Washington College picked up a point when Ardila retired in his match versus Bonta at third singles. Yu pushed the Blue Jays' lead to 4-0 with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Hoegstedt, ranked 11
th in the region. Wang then closed out the match when he beat Kawai 6-1, 6-2 at fourth.

What it Means
• Hopkins improves to 52-24 all-time against Washington College, including 4-1 in the Centennial Conference Tournament.
• The Blue Jays advance to the Centennial Conference championship match for the 15
th time. JHU has played in every title match since the tournament's inception in 2006 (no tournament in 2020).
• Hopkins' 18 wins are the most since 2018 and are two shy of the single-season record.
• Yu broke the program's single-season records for singles wins (25) and total wins (49) in the match.
• Joshi is now tied for 15
th in program history with 51 career singles wins. He is also tied for 12
th with 105 total wins.
