Allen Gong and
Chakor Rajendra's seasons came to an end Saturday at the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.
Gong opened the NCAA Singles Championship against sixth-ranked Mark Kneiss (Bowdoin) in the round of 32. Kneiss won the match 6-1, 6-1 to advance to the round of 16.
Gong and Rajendra then dropped a heartbreaker in the opening round to Trevor Rein and Asher Willenborg (Mary Washington). Gong and Rajendra grabbed the first set 7-6 (2) but Rein and Willenborg answered with a 6-4 win in the second and the claimed the match with a 7-6 (7) win in the third.
Gong ends his career with a 58-24 singles record and is tied for ninth in JHU history in singles' wins. He also ranks 10
th with 61 doubles wins, going 61-39 in his career.
