Men's Tennis Freshmen Class Ranked 10th in the Nation

BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins men's tennis incoming freshmen class has been ranked 10th in the nation by TennisRecruiting.net. The is the eighth time in the last 14 years that the Blue Jays' recruiting class has been ranked in the top-10.
 
"We are excited about the talent that we are bringing into our program next year," said head coach Brendan Kincaid. "We are hopeful that these additions to our roster will take our program to the next level." 
 
Hopkins will welcome a pair of four-star freshmen for the 2022-23 season in Pranav Gadiraju (Hoffman Estates, IL / Barrington High School) and Allen Gong (Eagan, MN / Eagan High School).
 
Hopkins went 19-2 and won its record 16th Centennial Conference title in 2021-22. The Blue Jays earned a berth in the second round of the NCAA Tournament before losing a heartbreaker to 14th-ranked NC Wesleyan, 5-4. In addition, graduate student Vishnu Joshi made an impressive run to the NCAA Singles title match and earned All-America honors for the fourth time in his career. Sophomore Thomas Yu was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Year and also earned All-America honors.
