Alex Morgret has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week. This is the Blue Jays' first weekly conference honor of the season.
Morgret posted three shutouts with 14 saves in a 2-0-1 week for the Blue Jays. He made seven saves in a 1-0 win at Mary Washington on Wednesday. He then posted six saves in a 2-0 win over 10th-ranked Cortland on Saturday. Morgret wrapped up the week with a one-save shutout in a scoreless draw with 22nd-ranked Emory.
Morgret has played every minute in goal this season and boasts a 0.20 goals against average and a .957 save percentage with four shutouts.
Hopkins returns to action on Wednesday, September 14 against Stevenson. Game time at Homewood Field is set for 4:00 pm.
