LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins men's soccer graduate student Griffin Meyer has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week. He is the first Blue Jay this season to earn the honor since Ian Whamond on September 27, 2002.
 
Meyer led the Blue Jays to a pair of wins last week, scoring three goals and assisting on a fourth. He scored the game's only goal in Hopkins' 1-0 win at McDaniel Wednesday afternoon. Meyer than totaled two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over Swarthmore. He scored the first two goals of the game, including the game-winner, and then assisted on the Blue Jays' third goal. 
 
Meyer leads Hopkins and is tied for third in the Centennial Conference with five goals and 12 points.
 
Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, October 7 as the Blue Jays host Gettysburg. The Centennial Conference contest is slated for a 1:00 pm start at Homewood Field.
