When Last We Saw Them
• Johns Hopkins picked up perhaps its biggest win of the Peter Milliman era as the Blue Jays rallied past then third-ranked Georgetown, 13-12, last Saturday.

• The win against the Hoyas was also Hopkins' first win over a top five team since May 2, 2019, when the Blue Jays topped then fifth-ranked Maryland, 12-7, in the B1G Semifinals.

Against Number Three

• This week's game against North Carolina will be just the second for Johns Hopkins on February 14. The Blue Jays won their only previous game played on February 14 early in the 2015 season when they topped Villanova, 13-10.

First Strikes for Chauvette, Phillips, Deans and Collison
• Juniors Cameron Chauvette and Patrick Deans and sophomore Stuart Phillips all scored the first goals of their career in the win against Jacksonville, while freshman Matt Collison added his first career goal in the win over Georgetown.
• Chauvette, Deans and Phillips all scored during a game-ending 7-2 run that turned a 5-5 tie into the 12-7 victory at Jacksonville. Deans and Chauvette scored the first two of those seven goals and Phillips added the seventh goal of the run.
• Collison's first career goal came with 10:50 remaining in the fourth quarter of the win against Georgetown and ignited a five-goal run that turned an 11-8 deficit into a 13-11 lead.
Causing Trouble
• Johns Hopkins set a program single-season record in 2022 as the Blue Jays averaged 7.63 caused turnovers per game. This came one year after the Blue Jays had set a record by averaging 6.92 CTs per game in 2021.
• Among returning players, senior Beaudan Szuluk (21 CTs) and juniors Scott Smith (18) and Brett Martin (11) all totaled more than 10 caused turnovers last season, while graduate transfer Alex Mazzone had 20 CTs at Georgetown in 2022.
Strength of Schedule
• The Blue Jays' 15 regular season opponents combined to post a 160-82 (.661) record in 2022 with JHU's 10 non-conference opponents rolling up a 107-53 (.669) record. In addition, seven of the 15 qualified for the NCAA Tournament with two of those teams advancing to championship weekend.
