Box Score 1 ROME, GA – Junior Kamila Wong, sophomore Sophia Kim and freshman Ava Li competed at the 2024 ITA Cup last weekend at the Rome Tennis Center. Wong and Li went 2-1 in the doubles draw, while Kim went 0-1 in singles.
 
Wong and Li opened with a tough match as they drew the top seed in Marissa Markey and Angie Zhou (PPC). The Blue Jay pair lost 6-2, 6-4 to the Sagehens and moved to the consolation draw. Wong and Li got in the win column with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Siona Vallabhaneni and Victoria Wang (NYU). The duo then came from behind to beat fourth-seeded Ruth Hill and Olivia Kim (TU) 4-6, 7-6 (3), 1-0 (6) in the semifinals.
 
In singles, Kim dropped her opening match to Erica Ekstrand (UC) 6-1, 6-1. She then withdrew from her consolation match versus Zhou.
 
Hopkins wraps up the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday, October 26 in Newport News, VA with matches against host Christopher Newport and NC Wesleyan.
