Johns Hopkins Named NFHCA Region V Coaching Staff of the Year

MANAHAWKIN, NJ – Johns Hopkins field hockey coach Jane Wells, associate head coach James Albanese and assistants Merritt Davis, Britt Walker McNeil, Mikayla Schoff and Siena Urbanski have been named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Region V Coaching Staff of the Year.
 
This is the fourth straight year and fifth time in the last six seasons that the Blue Jay coaching staff has been honored by the NFHCA.
 
Wells and her staff led Hopkins to a 19-4 record overall, including a 9-1 mark in the Centennial Conference. This is the Blue Jays' sixth straight season with at least 19 wins. JHU won its sixth straight Centennial Conference title and made its sixth consecutive trip to the NCAA Quarterfinals. The Blue Jays set a conference record with 47 straight regular season conference wins.
 
In seven seasons at Homewood, Wells and her staff have led Hopkins to a 133-22 record (.858) and a 67-3 (.957) record in the Centennial Conference. Hopkins has produced five Centennial Conference Players of the Year, 33 All-Centennial selections, four NFHCA Region V Players of the Year, 26 NFHCA All-Region selections and 11 NFHCA All-Americans.
