LANCASTER, PA – The Johns Hopkins men's track & field team had 17 athletes earn spots on the All-Centennial teams, as released by the conference this afternoon. After leading the team to its 11
th straight Conference Championship, head coach
Bobby Van Allen and his staff were named the Coaching Staff of the Year for the second consecutive season.
The Blue Jays had seven First Team members in eight events.
Emmanuel Leblond (3000, 5000),
Ethan Oluwole (Long Jump),
James Reilly (Heptathlon) and
Valdis Slokenbergs,
Fisayo Omonije,
Aiden Deffner and
Connor Oiler as members of the DMR all earned the distinction to give Hopkins its most First Teamers since the 2018-19 season.
Earning spots on the Second Team were Omonije (800),
Peter Lim (Pole Vault),
Oluwademilade Adeniran (Triple Jump) and
Evan Kelly,
Samson Dessalines, Zach Martin and Omonije as parts of the 4x800 relay team, with
Kenny Wanlass (Mile),
Gavin McElhennon (3000),
Charles Teeter (5000)
Wech Ring (Triple Jump) and
Owen Takahashi (Heptathlon) grabbing spots on the Honorable Mention Team. Oluwole also earned the Blue Jays' spot on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Hopkins is back in action this weekend to take part in the South Region and Tufts Final Qualifiers.
