GREENSBORO, NC – The Johns Hopkins men's swim team picked up 19 points on the first day of the NCAA Championships Wednesday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Senior
Kellen Roddy led the way for the Blue Jays with a fourth-place finish in the 500 Free.
Roddy dropped 1.25 seconds off his prelim time to take fourth place in the championship final of the 500 Free. This is his best finish in the event after finishing in fifth place in 2022 and 2023. He also earns his seventh career All-America honor, including six first team selections.
The Blue Jays then finished in 15
th place in the 200 Medley Relay. The team of sophomore

Avery Clapp and senior
Jay Heymann combined for a time of 1:29.54. The quartet earn Second Team All-America honors with the finish. JHU has produced an All-America team in the 200 Medley Relay in each of the last four years and nine of the last 10.
The NCAA Championships continue on Thursday, March 21 at 10:00 am with the prelims of the 200 Free Relay. The finals are scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm.
