NEW ORLEANS – The Johns Hopkins women's track & field team had 16 different athletes earn All Mid-Atlantic Region recognition, as released by the association earlier this week. In addition to the 16 All-Region honorees, Victoria Kadiri was named the Mid-Atlantic Region Field Athlete of the Year, while Alex Jebb earned Assistant Coach of the Year honors.
 
Kadiri was an easy choice to repeat as the Mid-Atlantic Region Field Athlete of the Year, earning All-Region honors in six different events — the 60-meter sprint, 60-meter hurdles, high jump, long jump, triple jump and pentathlon — the most by an individual in any region. The Centennial Conference Champion in four different events en route to being named the conference's Field Athlete of the Year, Kadiri sits atop the national rankings in the triple jump, third in the triple jump and fourth in the pentathlon.
 
Jebb, who works primarily with Hopkins' jumpers and pentathletes, coached his athletes to 107 of the Blue Jays' 311 at the Centennial Conference Indoor Championships. Under his tutelage, Kadiri and Sara Bartlett will be competing in the NCAA Championships this weekend in the triple jump, with Kadiri also taking part in the pentathlon.
