LANDOVER, MD – The Johns Hopkins women's indoor track team jumped back into action on Saturday at the Catholic Invitational and the Blue Jays responded by winning six events in their competition since December 7. Competing at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Center, the Blue Jays posted several marks that rank among the top 25 in the nation, including one that jumped to the top of the national listing.

Double winner
Sara Bartlett led the way individually for the Blue Jays as she placed first in both the triple jump (11.81-meters) and long jump (5.16-meters). Her mark in the triple jump currently ranks sixth in the nation this season.

The Blue Jay Distance Medley Relay Team of
Harrinee Senthilkumar,
Lily Tremba,
Emily Roskowski and
Mackenzie Setton crossed the line in first place with a national-best time of 12:13.20.

The Blue Jays grabbed three other first-place finishes on the day with
Annie Huang (400-meter dash / 59:15),
Clarissa Newman (Pole Vault / 3.50-meters) and
Erika Ezumba (Shot Put / 12.75-meters) rounding out Hopkins' additional winners.Â

In addition to the first-place showings, the Blue Jays' 4x400-meter relay team of Huang,
Lianne Saussy,
Lorna Arcese and
Nicole Dia placed second in a field of 16 as they crossed in 4:03.13. The mark currently ranks 15
th nationally.

The Blue Jays demonstrated great depth on the day with multiple top-10 finishers in seven different events, including a 2-3-6 showing in the mile, a 4-6-7-8 showing in the 3,000 and a 3-6-7 finish in the high jump.Â
Emma Puetz (2
nd) and
Elena Blodnikar paced the top-10 trio in the mile, while
Storrie Kulynych-Irvin's fourth-place showing paced the top-10 quartet in the 3000.Â
Jaclyn Donoho was the only Division III top-four finisher in the high jump with her third-place showing.

Johns Hopkins will return to action on January 24-25 when the Blue Jays head to New York to participate in the Dr. Sander Invitational.
