Playoff History
« Johns Hopkins is making its 14th trip to the NCAAs, including its 12th since 2011.

Just Sayin', Don't Leave Early
« As noted above, Johns Hopkins has twice played in games that it flew too; Thomas More in 2009 and DePauw in 2024.
« Both of those games were decided on the last play of the game. In 2009, Johns Hopkins got a walk-off 43-yard field goal from Alex Lachman to win 31-29, then got a goal-line stand in the final 30 seconds to knock off DePauw in 2024.

A Fraternity of Two
« Johns Hopkins advanced to the NCAA Semifinals for the second time last season. Last year's appearance came one season after the Blue Jays made a run to the NCAA Quarterfinals.
« Including this year's trip to the NCAA Semifinals, Johns Hopkins and North Central are the only two teams in the nation that have advanced to at least the NCAA Quarterfinals in each of the last three years (2023, 2024, 2025).
A Fraternity of Three
« In addition to ranking as one of just two teams in the nation that has advanced to at least the NCAA Quarterfinals in each of the last three years, Johns Hopkins also belongs to another close-knit fraternity based on its recent success.
« Since 2021, Johns Hopkins has won 10 (2021), 10 (2022), 12 (2023), 12 (2024) and 12 (2025) games with a combined record of 56-7 in that time. Among Division III teams, only North Central and Mount Union have also won at least 10 games in each of the last five years as well.
December Football
« Dating back to 1900, Johns Hopkins will play its 10th game in the month of December this week against Wisconsin-River Falls (dates for games played before 1900 are not all available). JHU is 5-4 all-time in games played in December, including the wins against Salisbury (45-13) and Susquehanna (40-10) in the last two weeks.
« JHU fell at Wesley in the 2009 NCAA Quarterfinals (12-0) on December 5 and topped RPI in the 2018 NCAA Quarterfinals (37-14) on December 1 before falling at Mount Union (28-20) a week later (Dec. 8) in the NCAA Semifinals.
« In 2023, JHU fell to Randolph-Macon (39-36) in the NCAA Quarterfinals on December 2 and added wins last year against DePauw (14-9 on December 7) and Mary Hardin-Baylor (17-10 on December 14) before falling at Mount Union (45-37 on December 21) in the NCAA Semifinals.
The Only Team in the Nation With ...
« Senior Geoff Schroeder has rushed for 1,325 yards this season, while junior Cole Crotty has 1,315 receiving yards on the day.
« Entering play this weekend, Johns Hopkins is the only college football team in the nation at any level of the NCAA with a 1,300-yard rusher and a 1,300-yard receiver.
Four-Out-of-Five
« Four of Johns Hopkins' five offensive linemen earned All-Centennial Conference honors this season. Seniors Michael Nwosu (T) and Garrett Brophy (G) earned first team honors, while senior Charlie Pearson (T) was a second team selection. Sophomore Albee Cornachio (G) rounded out JHU's All-CC offensive linemen as he was an honorable mention selection. « This marks the fifth time since 2009 - and the first time since 2015- that JHU has had four or more offensive linemen earn All-Centennial honors in one season.
The Harvey Tracker
« Senior Bay Harvey continues to assault the Johns Hopkins record book as the Blue Jays compete in the NCAA Playoffs.
« He was named the D3football.com Region 2 Offensive Player of the Year while also earning First Team All-Region and First Team All-Centennial honors.
« The most important number for Harvey? He is 26-3 as Johns Hopkins' starting quarterback (12-1 in 2023, 2-1 in 2024, 12-1 in 2025).
« Harvey set the Johns Hopkins record for career rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with his 21st and 22nd in the win against Springfield and has since bumped that mark to 26 with two more against Salisbury and two against Susquehanna (had been tied with David Tammaro (2016-19) at the top of the list with 20).
« He is now just the fourth quarterback in Centennial Conference history to throw for more than 7,500 yards and rush for more than 1,400 yards. He currently has 7,609 career passing yards and 1,481 career rushing yards.
« Has accounted for 105 career touchdowns (79 passing / 26 rushing). The 105 career TDs are tied with Tammaro for the top spot in Johns Hopkins history (Tammaro had 85 passing / 20 rushing).
Playoff Balanced
« Johns Hopkins played four games during the regular season against teams that qualified for the NCAA Playoffs (John Carroll, Susquehanna, Muhlenberg, Franklin & Marshall). The Blue Jays have since added playoff games against Springfield, Salisbury and Susquehanna.
« In seven games against NCAA Playoff opponents this season, the Blue Jays are averaging 37.3 points and have scored at least 27 points in all seven of those games.
« More remarkably, the Blue Jays have struck a near perfect balance offensively in those seven games. In the seven games against playoff teams this season, Johns Hopkins has rushed for 1,536 yards and passed 1,512. Translation, in those seven games, Johns Hopkins is averaging 435.4 yards ... 219.4 yards rushing and 216.0 yards passing.
Under Pressure
« The Blue Jays are currently tied for 15th in the nation in sacks per game (2.92).
« In all, 16 different players have been credited with at least half a sack for the Blue Jay thus far with Will Seibert (7.0), Sawyer Olson (4.5), Graham Hodge (4.5) and Kellen Gibson and leading the way; Isaac Urquidi (3.5) leads a list of four other players with at least two sacks to their credit.
« The 19 sacks Johns Hopkins accumulated in the first four games of the season are the most for the Blue Jays in a four-game span since early in the 2023 season, when they totaled 19 in wins against Rowan (6), Gettysburg (5), F&M (4) and Ursinus (4).
Road Warriors
« In their last 36 road games dating back to the start of the 2019 season, the Blue Jays are 30-6. All six losses have come against teams ranked in the top 20 at the time of the game (#6 Muhlenberg-2019 | #22 Muhlenberg-2021 | #4 Mount Union-2021 | #18 Susquehanna-2022 | #3 Mount Union-2024 | #25 Franklin & Marshall-2025).

Four-by-12
« Johns Hopkins tied the program record for wins in a season with its 12th when the Blue Jays topped Susquehanna in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
« This marks the fourth season in program history, including the third straight, that Johns Hopkins has won 12 games in season (2018, 2023, 2024, 2025).
It's All Academic
« Since 2011, the Johns Hopkins football team has produced 44 CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-Americans. Only one other Division III program has produced even 30 during that time (Carnegie Mellon (31)) and only two others - MIT (23) and Rose-Hulman (23) - have even produced 20 during that time.
« Among all football-playing schools in the NCAA and NAIA, Johns Hopkins' 44 CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-Americans is also the most since 2011. Only four other programs have produced even 25 in that time.
