Johns Hopkins Places Four on AP All-America Team

Bourdo, Nwosu, Harvey, Crotty Honored

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins senior defensive back Carson Bourdo was a repeat selection as a First Team Associated Press Division III All-American, while teammates Michael Nwosu (OL), Bay Harvey (QB) and Cole Crotty (WR) were also named to the team, which was announced today.  Nwosu joined Bourdo on the first team, while Harvey and Crotty were both third team selections.  This is fifth consecutive year that the Johns Hopkins football team has had at least one player named to the AP All-America Team.

For the first time, the AP named a first, second and third team; in previous years, only a first and second team were named.  The four selections boost Johns Hopkins' all-time total of AP All-Americans to 13 and the four selections this year are a program record.

Bourdo, who joins Luke Schuerann (DL / 2021-23) as the only multiple-time AP All-Americans in program history, ranks fourth on the team in tackles (56) and is tied for the team-lead in interceptions (4) and pass breakups (7) entering this week's NCAA Semifinal game.  This is the third All-America selection of his career (AP-2, D3football.com-1), while he was also recently named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year, First Team D3football.com All-Region and First Team All-Centennial Conference.

Nwosu grabs his second, First Team All-America nod of the 2025 season as he was previously named to the AFCA's top team.  The fifth Blue Jay offensive lineman to earn AP All-America honors, Nwosu earns his fourth career All-America nod (D3football.com-2, AFCA-1, AP-1).  A starter in a school-record 51 consecutive games, he has helped lead the way for a Blue Jay offense that is averaging 41.5 points and 458.9 yards per game this season.  The Blue Jays have scored at least 27 points in all 13 games to-date and have rushed for more than 200 yards and passed for more than 200 yards in four of the last five games.

Harvey becomes the first quarterback in Johns Hopkins history to earn AP All-America honors and just the third Blue Jay quarterback to earn All-America honors from any organization.  The D3football.com Region 2 Offensive Player of the Year, Harvey has thrown for 3,091 yards and 31 touchdowns and has rushed for 621 yards and 12 more TDs this season.  His marks this season for passing yards, passing touchdowns, total offense and overall touchdowns responsible for all rank in the top seven in program history, while his 12 rushing touchdowns are a program single-season record for a quarterback.

Already named First Team D3football.com All-Region and First Team All-Centennial Conference this season, Crotty becomes the first Johns Hopkins wide receiver to earn All-America honors from any organization since College Football Hall of Famer Bill Stromberg in 1981.  Entering this week's game, Crotty has 80 receptions for a school-record 1,315 yards and 13 touchdowns to his credit on the year.  Among Division III junior receivers, he is the active national leader in career receptions (220) and ranks second in touchdown receptions (27), while his 3,161 career receiving yards are the most among junior wide receivers in all divisions of the NCAA.

Johns Hopkins (12-1) is making its second straight and third overall appearance in the NCAA Semifinals.  The Blue Jays will play at Wisconsin-River Falls on Saturday, December 20 (12 pm (CT)).
