LANCASTER, PA – Following its 14
th consecutive Centennial Conference Indoor Title in 2024-25, the Johns Hopkins Women's Indoor Track & Field program has been selected as the preseason favorite to win the conference crown. The Blue Jays received all nine possible first-place votes in the preseason poll, as announced by the league on Wednesday.
Winners of the last 14 conference titles, Hopkins is aiming to continue its dominance in the conference and capture its 15
th straight title.
Leading the way for the Blue Jays is senior standout
Adriana Catalano, a First Team All-American. Catalano is joined by a strong core of returners, including last year's Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year,
Claudia Ouimet, College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District and First Team All-America selection
Lianne Saussy, along with school record holders
Erika Ezumba (weight throw) and
Mackenzie Setton (1,000m | 1,500m). The veteran core will be bolstered by a talented incoming freshman class.
After earning a 17
th-place finish at the 2025 NCAA Championships, Hopkins sets its sights on becoming the only program in Centennial Conference history to win 15 straight titles. Head coach
Bobby Van Allen and the Blue Jays will open the 2025-26 season on Saturday, December 6 at Navy's Indoor Invitational.
