NEW YORK, NY – The Johns Hopkins men's and women's track and field teams opened the 2025-26 indoor season on Friday afternoon at the Armory Collegiate Distance Classic, turning in seven top-10 performances across three events.
The women set the tone early, placing four athletes in the top 10 of the 5,000m.
Natalie Boquist led the way with a personal-best 17:32.77, earning a third-place finish.
Aisling Callahan (17:43.94),
Cooper Brotherton (17:44.69) and
Elena Blodnikar (17:58.72) followed in succession, taking fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively.
Cameron Coletti added a strong performance of her own, placing 12th in a personal-best 18:59.08.
On the men's side,
Nash Minor secured Hopkins' fifth top-10 finish of the day, placing fourth in the 5,000m with a time of 14:47.99. The Blue Jays added two more top-10 results in the 3,000m, where
Caleb Tenney impressed in his collegiate indoor debut by taking second in 8:19.12, followed closely by
Rowan Cassidy, who finished third in 8:27.98.
Johns Hopkins returns to action tomorrow, Saturday, December 6, with athletes competing at both the Navy Indoor Invitational and the Boston University Sharon Colyear-Danville Invitational. Events at the Naval Academy are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m., while competition in Boston at the Track & Tennis Center is set to start at 1:15 p.m.
