LANCASTER, PA – After grabbing a pair of top-five finishes at the FastTrack Invitational last Friday, Johns Hopkins senior Sara Bartlett has been named the Centennial Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field, Field Athlete of the Week it was announced today.  This is the first time this season that Bartlett has been honored.
 
Bartlett registered the seventh-best long jump in Centennial Conference history at the FastTrack Invitational. Bartlett's mark of 5.55 meters also ranks 21st in the nation through February 9.  She also added an 11.43-meter leap in the triple jump and finished fourth in both events on the day. Bartlett was the only Division III competitor to place in the top 15 in the long jump and the only Division III entry to place in the top seven in the triple at the meet. 
 
Johns Hopkins will return to action on Friday (Feb. 14) and Saturday (Feb. 15) at a pair of events.  Some members of the team will compete at Boston University's David Hemery Invitational on Friday and Saturday, while others will make the shorter trip to Widener (PA) for the Division II/III Challenge on Saturday.
