LANCASTER, PA – The Johns Hopkins women's indoor track team collected seven first-place finishes and totaled 128.5 points on the first day of the 2025 Centennial Conference Indoor Track Championships at Franklin & Marshall on Saturday. Dickinson (43 points), Swarthmore (30), Gettysburg (25) and Haverford (22) round out the top five in the team standings after one day of competition.

The Champions
Claudia Ouimet (Pentathlon) – Ouimet eased to a win in the Pentathlon as she totaled 3,328 points to win by 202 points. She placed first in 60-meter hurdles (9.30) and second in the high jump (1.53-meters), long jump (5.25-meters) and shot put (11.73-meters) before closing out her win with a seventh-place showing in the 800-meter run (2:41.66). Ouimet is the ninth Johns Hopkins champion in the event with all nine coming since 2013. In addition to Ouimet's effort, the Blue Jays grabbed fourth (
Jaclyn Donoho / 3,309 points), fifth (
Abigail Lovelace / 2,856) and sixth-place (
Julia Widen / 2,591) finishes in the event.

Sara Barlett (Triple Jump) – Bartlett made it four consecutive top-two finishes in the triple jump at the Centennial Championships and adds gold to her three previous silver medals in the event. She marked at 11.75-meters to win the event by more than two feet. She becomes Hopkins' fifth overall champion in the event, including the fourth straight.

Bella Stenhouse (5,000-meter run) – Stenhouse led a dominant performance for the Blue Jays in the 5,000 as she clocked in at a personal-best time of 17:56.59 to place first in a field of 19. The Blue Jays had the top three finishers and placed six runners among the eight scorers in the event. Stenhouse is Johns Hopkins' ninth champion in the event since 2010 and the fifth since 2019. In addition to Stenhouse's gold,
Storrie Kulynych-Irvin (silver / 18:02.33) and
Cooper Brotherton (3
rd / 18:06.44) helped the Blue Jays to a medal sweep.

Sarah Soto (Pole Vault) – Soto narrowly edged teammate
Clarissa Newman to grab gold in the pole vault. She marked at a season-best 3.42-meters to become Hopkins' eighth overall champion in the event, including the seventh straight. Soto moved up one spot in the standings this season after grabbing silver in the event last season. Newman's runner-up finish came on the strength of a jump of 3.32-meters.

Erike Ezumba (Weight Throw) – Ezumba turned in one of the top individual performances of the day as she broke the meet record in the weight throw with a toss of 16.83-meters. The mark currently ranks 23
rd in the nation this season and she repeats as the Centennial Champion in the event. Her winning toss was more than three feet longer than the next best throw on the day.

Distance Medley Relay – The Blue Jay DMR team of
Emma Kothari,
Lianne Saussy,
Annie Huang and
Adriana Catalano blew away the field as they set a meet record when they crossed in 11:55.97. The time is also the eighth-best in the nation this season and today's gold medal marks the sixth time Johns Hopkins has won the event at the Centennial Championships.

4x800-Meter Relay – The Blue Jays added a second gold in a relay on day one of the championships as the 4x800-meter relay team of
Eleni Alvarez,
Kayla Ritzman,
Emily Roskowski and
Lily Tremba edged Swarthmore by just under 1.5 seconds as they clocked in at 9:35.17. This is the third consecutive year that Johns Hopkins has won the event at the Centennial Championships and the ninth time the Blue Jays have won gold since 1998.

Overall, the Blue Jays turned in 18 top-eight finishes on day one of the championships to jump to the 85.5-point lead.

The Centennial Conference Championships will conclude on Sunday, March 2. The Blue Jays are seeking their 14th consecutive Centennial title.
