SELINSGROVE, PA – The Johns Hopkins men's track and field team opened competition Thursday at the River Hawk Multi, hosted by Susquehanna University. After the conclusion of the first day,
Sebastian Tangelson sits in second place with 3,356 points, while
Peter Lim ranks 15th with 2,606 points.
Tangelson delivered a strong performance, earning top-three finishes in three of the day's five events. He placed second in both the long jump (6.65m) and shot put (11.51m) and took third in the 400m dash (52.37). The sophomore also set personal bests in the shot put, high jump and long jump. His 6.65m mark in the long jump now ranks as the 10
th-farthest mark in program history.
Lim added a solid showing of his own, placing seventh in the long jump with a mark of 6.28m.
The Blue Jays are back in action tomorrow Friday, April 10, for day two of the River Hawk Multi with action scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM in the decathlon's 110m hurdles.
